Ragtime

E.L. Doctorow

A broad painted harbor scene shows the Statue of Liberty beneath a cloudy sky, with boats, flags, smoke, and small figures. The main title, “Ragtime,” is set in large black serif letters across the centre; “A Novel” appears above it in smaller italic serif type. The author’s name is set in very large pale cream serif letters over a blue panel at the bottom.
